• 01, There are no fix rules on how to utilize the channels. It can be used as all paging, monitoring or unit to unit per designated channel communicating. Combinations can be 2 sets of 3 channel twin set & make it six units, or one twin units 4 channel sets. Some users would believe the number of channels = to the number of units. This is not exactly true.


• 02, Power-line Intercom systems communicate via the power-line of the house; therefore it has further distance further distance than a Radio wave Frequency intercom, free from building material obstruction like concrete, and it has no EMF danger. Power-line Intercom System uses the AC power line as the medium. It is subject to any interference already existed in the power-line, Just like your AC AM Radio. There is NO defectiveness with the system.

• 05, Power meter: In general utilities supply & billing, one household should have only one power-meter. Multiple power meters situation is common in some commercial units, when the tenant rents 2 units & joint them as one. In a residential situation, multiple power meters are possible with duplex. All power-line Intercoms transmit & receive within one power meter. This is a major security feature.

Things you should know before buying this product

I wanted to rate this 3.5 stars, but what's a guy to do?

I have an office. I have a secretary. Tired of yelling across the building from my office into hers. This is the reason for this product. I cannot speak about large houses or anything else - just a regular office ~ 1,000 square feet.

I ordered this item you see right here, but 3 units arrived. Not sure what exactly happened, but as you can see from this posting, I did order THIS specific item. (Amazon notes when we purchased the item through Amazon.)

Okay, so I got three and did a happy dance. Well, sort of.

The transmit button isn't the greatest. Sometimes I talk to my secretary but the the button isn't somehow fully depressed and she only hears part of my conversation. I am pressing it, but I have to make sure I am always pressing it straight down - a little strange for a unit like this.

Also, this unit DOES NOT WORK WELL unless it is plugged DIRECTLY into the wall. That means NO power strips. If you have to use a power strip, your quality will probably be pretty poor. THIS IS IMPORTANT as it isn't mentioned anywhere else. Don't buy if you need to use power strip with this product.

Okay, so now that I've scared you, this product is just what it says it is. It allows you to talk through the electrical outlets. Not too sexy. Not perfect sound. A little hum when the other person is talking. BUT it has easy setup and I'm not yelling at my secretary any longer. (Well, at least I'm not yelling so she can hear me.)

This unit is decent - pretty much what I expected. Wish the transmit button was better. VERY easy to setup.

Also, only 1 channel works for me. The other two are terrible so I don't use them. There you go!

Eliminate The Stair Trips

Often my husband and I are on different floors of our house when we need to speak with each other. The wireless intercom has been great for eliminating some of the trips up and down the stairs.

Before ordering, we read all of the reviews and the problems encountered. The main problem seemed to be getting the two units plugged into the same electrical circuit. With that information and downloading the detailed instructions from the seller's web page, getting the units to work didn't take too long. More instructions came along with the product.

However, I might add that my husband is a former electrician and a mechanical engineer, A home owner who is familiar with their electrical circuit box should be able to locate a common circuit where the two boxes could be plugged in. If your circuits aren't labeled, you might try plugging in a radio turned up rather loud and turning the circuit breakers off and on until you locate the circuit for the electrical outlets you want to use.

Plug and play, self explanatory, audio quality poor. Could be the crappy old wiring in my house though, but I doubt it, since its not interference just muffled.
