Got this for an 11 year old as an early xmas present. He loves it, and the experiments are well written, however this is definitely an activity for which an adult needs to be present and actively participating.

It is the perfect chemistry set for our needs

I know other homeschool moms who have used this kit and it came highly recommended. When my son decided he wanted to be a physicist, I knew we needed to kick our study of math and science into a whole new gear. This chemistry set is so exciting to work with. We haven't done all of the experiments yet, but I am very pleased so far.

Christmas gift for my son.

My son is 14 and he thinks the experiment manual is great. The manual is easy to read and understand, with lots of pictures and diagrams.
A couple of test tubes were broken in shipping. A few chemicals have to be found locally for legal reasons. Silver Nitrate, Sodium Hydroxide, Hydrochloric acid, Hydrogen peroxide, and Ammonia.
